Our Little Farm

Here are our 6 week old baby chickens, Shadow, Daisy, Bubbles, Toodles and Ming Ming. In 12 more weeks they will each lay 1 unfertilized egg per week. Thanks goodness, because Kira loves her eggs. Their droppings, mixed with the pine shavings in their coop, are great for our organic garden as well. The chicks are very docile and eat kitchen and garden scraps right out of Kira's hand. All we need now are some goats to keep the yard mowed ;)

How fun! I would love to have a little raised garden someday. In Vegas it's hard to grow much of anything, but hopefully we can start something in the fall :) I bet those eggs taste wonderful.
